The schedule of the duties[edit]

It appears there is simply a continuous cycling of the 24 divisions with no break for the three major festivals. Would the cycle have continued as such when all the divisions were present to serve during the festivals or would they pause the cycle and then continue where they left off after the festival? 2600:1700:ADA0:17F0:B443:8563:EA68:92D (talk) 08:29, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The regular sacrifices belong only to the division of that week. the other divisions only share in the sacrifices of the holiday and the sacrifices of vows and volunteers. yoisef yitzchok-talk, 27 Shevat 5783. 01:11, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

"Should Start Working" columns[edit]

The table presented in the section "List" contains in some columns the dates in which each mishmar should start working. However, there is no source quoted sustaining this claim. There should be specified this source, in which the reasons for those dates are explained. Otherwise, these columns should be removed, since it gives the impression this is something quite established among scholars. I do not find any source like this, so I intend to remove them unless somebody can help with this. @castaliensis, 14 september 2023 Castaliensis (talk) 09:26, 14 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Gemara says that the temple was destroyed on the ninth day of Av, Sunday, during Yehoyarib's shift. The Julian date of that day is August 5, 70 AD, since then the days are simply counted. yoisef yitzchok-talk, 7 Tevet 5784. 06:38, 19 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
