Timor Leste[edit]

Should this be re-named 'Prostitution in Timor Leste' and content changed accordingly?

I would have thought that the name used for this article should be consistent with the name used for the East Timor article. If there is to be a change, that article ought to be changed first. - Polly Tunnel (talk) 12:42, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agree the name needs to be consistent on WP, not just in titles, but it's use in content too. However outside WP, 'Timor Leste' (or 'Timor-Leste') seems to be the more commom usage. If you google 'East Timor', the infobox or the right says Timor Leste; NGOs, the US & UK Governments etc also favour the hyphenated Timor-Leste. Not sure where a WP-wide change of name should be asked or discussed? John B123 (talk) 17:42, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you check out Talk:East Timor you'll find a history of discussion concerning the country's name. It appears that no consensus has ever been achieved to change that article's name to Timor Leste (or Timor-Leste). I guess that would probably be the best place to re-start the discussion if you wish to do so. - Polly Tunnel (talk) 15:50, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Polly Tunnel: Thanks. I didn't think of looking there John B123 (talk) 17:16, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
