Quaker State → Quaker State (oil) – Not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC when compared with the state of Pennsylvania, which clearly holds greater long-term significance. While this brand of oil may be well-known in the US, it seems to be unknown outside it, while the state of Pennsylvania is internationally known for its connections to Quakerism, with "the Quaker state" being a common term used to refer to the state. "The Quaker State" (definitive article included) is currently a redirect to the state, which going by the usage of the definitive article in other titles of places such as the "United States" or the "Middle East" would suggest that it may be desirable for "Quaker State" to redirect to "Pennsylvania", although I suspect a disambiguation page would be preferable. Oppose. While The Quaker State is a nickname for Pennsylvania, I doubt most readers searching for Quaker State in 2021 would be looking for anything other than the oil. Hatnotes exist for a reason. -- Calidum 04:19, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I strongly disagree. I expect most people searching for the phrase would be people interested to know which state in the US had such a large connection to Quakerism who couldn't remember the name of Pennsylvania. It is also highly likely to be used in links, particularly if someone is making the link from a quote. First off, there is no evidence to support this. Second, that has nothing to do with how we determine primary topics. Third, that information is already present in this article. Fourth, the Quaker State is not the commonly used nickname for Pennsylvania; the Keystone State is [1]. produced by Shell?[edit]

I don't believe Shell produces all Quaker State oils. As the lead in to this article states. It is ownership that Shell has. You can do a search on their oil lookup tool and they will refer you to Shell for some of the products that they could easily rebrand from Shell to Quaker State, but Shell doesn't even re-brand as Quaker State.
