There's no good reason to keep this article. It lacks notability and is mooted by the inclusion of information about sports leagues alignment in the entries on various leagues like the NFL and NHL. Until I caught it today, it included the statement that the NHL had realigned when the Atlanta Thrashers became the Winnipeg Jets -- which wasn't true.

Thanks for your opinion. Just let me assess what you've done here. First, you've made a talk page entry without signing it. Second, you've decided that a whole article is no good because of one minor factual error. God help the rest of Wikipedia. One error is not 'wrong in many areas' as you wrote on the deletion template. Exaggeration doesn't help your argument - it hinders it. Third, you've underestimated notability. Realignment is not nearly as lacking in notability as thousands of Wikipedia sites, and is an important extension of articles that relate to the structure of sporting leagues, and it links from most articles that discuss such structures. Fourth, you've discounted the article's function as a point of crossover between the realignment information on the various league history sites, none of which describe what realignment actualy is in the abstract for someone unfamiliar with the term. I'd say you're 0 from 3 on your deletion reasoning here. Mdw0 (talk) 08:41, 19 April 2012 (UTC) [reply]
