Malaysia is not a secular state[edit]

Islam is the official religion in Malaysia, if you are a Muslim living in Malaysia, you have to follow Islamic law as well. There have been wild interpretations in regards to whether Malaysia is a secular state from politicians. Citations do not really help since many of the authors are foreign sources. Malaysia is an Islamic state, it is proved by the existence of the State Syariah Court in Malaysia. Badpuccini (talk) 07:36, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The nationality of an author does not impact on their reliability, but for what it's worth one source is from the Malaysian Bar. As for theory vs reality, there is an entire section which discusses the contradictions you mention. CMD (talk) 09:30, 16 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
