Last name[edit]

- Ohm, and a quick search using Google suggests that "Sadayappa" is the more common spelling of the middle name. Indeed, the only usages of "Sadaiyappa" appear to be mirrors of this article on websites and in books published by General LLC etc. We probably should move the article once the Mudaliar issue is resolved. - Sitush (talk) 09:50, 29 November 2013 (UTC)
Sadayappa Vallal is Gounder not Mudaliar He is from kongu region and he is kongu vellala gounder.So please move this article to sadayappa vallal gounder.I add the external proof also.

- The ref makes reference to "Sadayappa Vallal", so I've made the move accordingly. Your ref does not explicitly say "Sadayappa Vallal Gounder", while the original ref in the article here looks like it calls this person "Sadayappa Mudaliar". Vallal Sadaiyappa Mudaliar → Vallal Sadayappa Gounder – There seems to have been a dispute on the last name dating back to 2013. Seems to have started with Special:Diff/577454499 and Special:Diff/577454676, with reversions like Special:Diff/581333195. It's continued with Special:Diff/590696375 and Special:Diff/704584046. Not sure what to make of it. The cited references are not 100% clear to me either. On behalf of these folks arguing for the change, I started this RM to encourage discussion. — Andy W.
