Scouting in MIchigan[edit]

There's an error in the link to the Blue Water Council. The link goes to www.bwcbsa.com which is some sort of vitamin site. The correct link should be to www.bwcbsa.org 4.229.21.107 03:18, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of Councils and Districts?[edit]

This article, as it is now, is mostly just a listing of the councils and districts in Michigan, while only a small minority of it is actually about "scouting in michigan". Might it be better to move the list to a separate article ("List of BSA Councils in Michigan" or something)? Another alternative could be to just list the councils, and leave the districts and most of the council information for their own articles. That way, this article could be be more oriented to history, background, and information on the overall topic of "Scouting in Michigan". Thoughts? Camp Tapico, BSA merge[edit]

Camp Tapico, BSA is not notable outside of Tall Pine Council. Article is orphaned and marginally edited. --—— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 20:00, 19 October 2008 (UTC)  Done --—— Gadget850 (Ed) talk - 15:27, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Area Project[edit]

I'm starting to do some research on the Area Project to expand and improve the section in the article on it, which I'm severely tempted to shorten right now for violating WP:NPOV, but I'm leaving it alone for right now. (If nothing else, my current understanding is that the new area-level entity would indeed become a legal entity.) I would appreciate some help in this, as - given that my father works for Great Lakes Council - I want to make sure I don't butt up against WP:NOR (which can be a really frustrating thing, having to find websites that say things I know or have gotten from the proverbial horse's mouth) and WP:NPOV. --Kant Lavar (talk) 12:46, 7 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The mergers were approved; here is the organization:

GMC will be the main council comprising four field service councils. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 04:01, 11 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Girl Scouts[edit]

Girls Scouts aren't part of the Boy Scouts of America in any way, shape or form. They really shouldn't be in this article. They should have their own article. Rklawton (talk) 18:57, 3 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Note the article is about Scouting in Michigan, not just the Boy Scouts of America in Michigan so it includes Girl Scouts of the USA and can include independent scouting organizations. --Erp (talk) 02:55, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
