Picture[edit]

Why do we have a picture of him as a kid? Thats not useful. We should have a action shot like all the other ballplayers. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Aquagreen (talkcontribs) 19:30, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I thought the picture was useful. It was him as a kid with a whiffle ball bat, showing how and where he got his start. Just because other baseball players don't have this unique imagery doesn't mean it should be removed for him. An action shot should definitely be used for the main pic, like you say. Maybe the youth shot can be used in his biography. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Schnuerle (talkcontribs) 23:41, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish or no?[edit]

I just looked for 20 minutes and I could not find one source that said he was Jewish. Any ideas? No source is given in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.145.91.135 (talk) 15:14, 10 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He is not Jewish, he is of Christian denomination. I think he is Catholic, but don't recall. I can ask him and report back. I grew up with him, but can't provide a web source for this fact. Purple Squirrel (talk) 23:38, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
