Grammatical Revision Needed[edit]

This article hops back and forth between present to past tense continuously. Can someone correct this? CFLeon (talk) 00:33, 4 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

His Wife[edit]

How could he abandon his wife and daughter in 1688, when he married in 1691? And how is it possible that the woman was pregnant for 13 years? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.152.20.245 (talk) 16:27, 30 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, perhaps the Italian Wikipedia employs a little too much imagination. On the other hand, the "free translation" from it here does nothing to add any accuracy. It sounds like (but is none too clear on the Italian Wikipedia, either), after being released from prison on the charge of attempting to poison Antonia Venanzio (the second of two girls he impregnated) to avoid marrying her, he ran off with Magdalena, and later returned to marry Antonia. A few reliable sources would be nice, instead of relying on unnamed "chronicles" and "Roman documents".—Jerome Kohl (talk) 01:14, 1 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
