Literal meaning[edit]

What is the literal meaning of this and why does it have this name? Badagnani 05:24, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's just the Min pronounciation for Thai satay later rendered in Mandarin. Tea is te in the Min dialect while it is cha in Mandarin and Cantonese.--68.116.114.141 (talk) 09:01, 29 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
