Notability[edit]

Shankar Puntambekar is notable author of Hindi literature for the following reasons:

[1]

  • 2.His name and biography appears in a University level text book on authors in Hindi language.[2]
  • 3.One of his novel was turned into play per a news item in The Hindu, a highly respected newspaper in India.[3]
  • 4. He was interviewed by a journalist for Maharashtra times, one of the most respected and popular newspaper in Marathi[4]
  • 5.His death by natural causes was a newsworthy item reported by United News of India news agency.[5][6]

I hope this explanation satisfies the notability requirements. Please let me know if additional evidence is required. Most of sources are in languages other than English. Editors and administrators familiar with Hindi and Marathi can verify the sources.Thanks. Jonathansammy (talk) 15:21, 16 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
