1: "few" = "a few"? 2: Surname[edit]

In this paragraph:

Few of the Soni community members belong to Mairh Kshatriya (Marwaris) Community, who basically hail from Rajasthan and also bear the surname Varma/Verma. These people are involved in the business of manufacturing of gold jewellery.[citation needed]

  1. American and British English distinguish "few..." from "a few..." "Few of these" means "Only a small number of these", emphasizing the sense "not many". "A few of these" means "Some (but not many) of these", de-emphasizing the small number and focusing more on the ones being referred to. Here, I can't tell which is meant.
  2. This is the first and only mention in the article of "the surname Varma/Verma", and the point of saying "also" isn't clear. Is the surname common among both Marwaris and Sonis, or is this simply a fact about Marwaris, unconnected to Sonis? If the former, it should be stated clearly early on, perhaps as "Many Sonis are surnamed Varma or Verma". If the latter, it doesn't belong here, but in the article on Marwaris.

@Thnidu:. I am not sure about this. It probably say, some people with Verma surname (Originally belonged to Mairh Kshatriya community from Rajasthan) are also member of Soni community. Citation can be helpful if any found.--Nizil (talk) 18:44, 7 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
