Issue with search[edit]

Hi! I don't really know how to add a comment, but was interested to see my church in Wikipedia. I see you're thinking of deleting it because it's "Not notable" [enough]. As one of our traveling ministry likes to say, "We're internationally unknown." :) Your article is quite accurate, though sketchy. I wonder who wrote it. I'll be curious to see how long you keep it. List of places[edit]

Whoa! Are you sure you want to do that? This section would be longer than the whole article. As it stands it's woefully incomplete. On April 10, 2006, I added an awkward list of just the states, not the cities, which was relegated to the history page the very next day. Look at it to jog your memory and overwhelm you at the enormity of your task. (See comment under "Locations."

Also, the "Immokalee Farm" is properly known by the acronym "CHOIR", for CHurch On the Immokalee Road. And I believe Newnan removed itself from the fellowship. Yopienso 16:05, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. A complete or partial list is not necessary for an encyclopedia article and there may be privacy issues also. If someone were to remove this section I would not complain. Tartessos75

I don't know how to comment or edit, or what not, but this place IS a cult. I know. I grew up there. My stories rang from being beaten, to starved, to sexual abuse, and the list goes on and on. The Move's (or whatever name they are hiding under today) persona of Christianity is just another way of stripping people from their worldy goods so the pastors can take for themselves, including young children in the secret of their bedrooms. After reading the misleadingly incomplete list of locations, I thought it should be as complete and accurate as possible. After adding all the places I could think of the introduction is unwieldy, though. Somebody, please fix it! (But I'd hate for you just to delete all my work. Comment on the group[edit]

Please do not erase this page. Many people want to hide this movement for what it is-a cult. It needs to be exposed just as any other behind the curtain activity for fear of stagnation and corruption of power. I am not judging the validity of its doctrine, but simply stating a universal truth- anything left stagnant will eat itself alive without fresh air and outside influence.

I find it very interesting that current cult members have edited this page so much since [a certain--name removed for privacy] case. I feel that they hope to change the public's minds about what the Move of God really is...A CULT. There is much abuse that stems from this cult, and this abuse is fully supported and known by the leaders. I know, because I was raised in this cult and was verbally, emotionally, physically, and sexually abused while a miner in this cult. Donald Grey Barnhouse[edit]

I've clumsily attempted to clean up the mention of Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse in this article. He was a conservative Presbyterian preacher who had absolutely nothing to do with the Move.
