Help
Please, there's someone who can help me to put at Trivia's section that Bubbles's toy (a purple yellow-eyed octopus) appeared in the cartoon The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, at the episode Crawling Niceness? If you saw the episode, you can confirm. It's because I'm Brazilian and I don't want to write this information with any language error. Thanks. Brazilian Man 02:26, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Please discuss more. You can edit the above table. Then, create the template.
Also, I have separate article ideas for PPGZ. Here is the list to create:
- Momoko Akatsutsumi Treats Momoko Akatsutsumi/Hyper Blossom
- Miyako Goutokuji Treats Miyako Goutokuji/Rolling Bubbles
- Kaoru Matsubara Treats Kaoru Matsubara/Powered Buttercup
- Ken Kitazawa Treats Ken Kitazawa, the 8 year-old son of Professor Utonium and his pet robot dog, Peach.
- Himeko Shirogane Treats Himeko Shirogane/Princess-sama as well as her pet cat, Sapphire.
- Should Kuriko Akatsutsumi, a younger sister of Momoko Akatsutsumi, have her article? Discuss here.
It's not the end. Because I have more ideas:
- Create a section titled In other media in the article Professor Utonium, then, treat Professor Utonium in the PPGZ in that section.
- Create a section titled In other media in the article Mayor of Townsville, then, treat Mayor of Tokyo City in the PPGZ in that section.
- Create a section titled In other media in the article Sara Bellum, then, treat Miss Bellum in the PPGZ in that section.
- Create a section titled In other media in the article Ms. Keane, then, treat Miss Keane in the PPGZ in that section.
- Create a section titled In other media in the article Sedusa (Powerpuff Girls), then, treat Sakurako Kintoki/Sedusa in that section.
- Create a section titled In other media in the articles about major villains (Mojo Jojo, Fuzzy Lumpkins, Him (The Powerpuff Girls), Gangreen Gang, Rowdyruff Boys, The Amoeba Boys), then, treat them in the PPGZ in that section in each article.
A PPGZ navigation template idea is coming soon.--JSH-alivetalk to mesee my worksmail to me 07:18, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
And now! Here's a PPGZ navigation template idea, named {{PPGZ}}:(If you can't see, click [show].)
And, can someone describe PPG comics on the article The Powerpuff Girls and PPGZ manga on the article Demashita! Powerpuff Girls Z?--JSH-alive talk to mesee my worksmail to me 06:34, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- What a waste of time, to dedicate all of this to a fairly minor animated series. Also, the Powerpuff Girls deserve no recognition after they beat up an innocent clown. My suggestion is to dump this idea, as it is wasted. Marcus2 12:42, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- Well, if it violates Wikipedia:Notability (fiction)... --May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 18:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- I completely disagree with Marcus2's comments. The Powerpuff Girls themselves are major characters in the series, and many of the villains are also well-known. Many other series (such as Power Rangers and The Fairly OddParents) have their own articles on characters, and I don't see why PPG shouldn't have individual articles on major characters. Andros 1337 14:49, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- While the villains are major characters in the series, they are NOT well known AT ALL. After the girls beat up Rainbow the Clown, there is no reason to recognize them or praise and laud them. Marcus2 15:27, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm sorry, but where did Andros 1337 say anything about Rainbow the clown? --May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 15:35, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- I never stated anything about Rainbow the Clown. However, every MAJOR villain (including Fuzzy Lumpkins and Him) should have their own article. And of course, the heroes of the series (Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup) are worthy having individual articles, similarly to how many of the Power Rangers have their own. Andros 1337 00:22, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
Now, here's the El Cid-ish version of my previous idea:
- {{PPG}}
- {{PPGZ}}

correction needed
The animation director is Genndy Tartakovsky, of Dexter's Laboratory and Samurai Jack fame, who has also directed many of the shows themselves.
I can't correct this as the sentence doesn't make sense however much you juggle the words about - has something been taken out? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.112.64.146 (talk) 20:14, 4 March 2007 (UTC).

- I'm all for it, it looks much better than the cuttent one. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 12:01, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- Disagree Nope, the current one is transparent, and also has a good image quality. I see no reason to change it. δσώпҹ (talk)(cont) 12:04, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure, the new one seems much closer to the original opening, though now that I think about it, in the end both would work well, as they essentially show what's intended to be shown. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 12:14, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
minor characters
The PPG article has become to long, and i propose we either delete or, preferably, create a separate article for the list of minor characters. What do you think? Rattis1 17:40, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- I had a simliar thought. But I think that the villains should have their own page; that's the longest segment of the article, I think. HyperBlossom 18:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Is there really a need for mentioning characters, which made only one appearance in the series? They're usually crucial only to the episodes they appeared in. Why not just mention them in the respective episode's description? No need for any new articles in my oppinion. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 19:02, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- I might agree --- if there were individual episode descriptions. Of course, I could always write them . . . HyperBlossom 19:32, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
There is already a List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes with short episode descriptions. One could either write a lengthier summary of the episode plots there, or create separete pages for each episode (after all, there are plenty of other shows that has individual pages for each induvidual episode). Anyway, i think i will go ahead and delete the "guest villains" segement from this article now. Rattis1 19:51, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, my original idea was actually merging one-timers into those episode descriptions. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 20:09, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- There's also plenty of shows that maintain lists of one-off characters. Granted the article needs to be pruned, but I think the information should be retained. HyperBlossom 20:21, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Uuh, could you try not to delete my comments, please. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 20:24, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry. We must have been editing at the same time. HyperBlossom 20:27, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I created Minor characters of the Powerpuff Girls. There might be a few more characters, not just one-offs, that belong there. SchmuckyTheCat 20:31, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Article assessment
It's too early for such a statement. The article has to have a review first. —May the Edit be with you, always. (T-borg) (drop me a line) 20:09, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
No Picture...
Why are there pictures of the minor characters but NONE of the actual main characters? Could someone fix this? Wikipeep 494 05:19, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
Look at the box at the most bottom. Click on "The Powerpuff Girls" for example. You can see them yours truly. They even have their Japanese counterparts, Kawaii! Blossom's Japanese Counterpart is Momoko Akatsutsumi, Bubbles's is Miyako Gotokuji and Buttercup's is Kaoru Matsubara. Love is most Important to those who cannot depend on themselves. 14:22, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
I agree that the main article needs atleast ONE picture of the main characters. What about that one picture that used to be on the right-top of the page, where thay where all in bed? Could someone find that picture and but it back? Rattis1 08:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
I wish that could happen because before "Marco" messes things up, I saw the picture of the Powerpuff Girls in their pajamas in bed with the Professor which could be a scene of the episode "BOOGIE FRIGHT". Heh, heh. Ain't I a Great PPG Fan? Love is most Important to those who cannot depend on themselves. 13:28, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Yes, this is rather strange. It seems that there should be a picture of the Powerpuff Girls on the Powerpuff Girls page. --04:13, 15 November 2007 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.250.101.231 (talk)
PPG in pop culture
A list of times a certain TV show, movie, book or whatever has ben mentioned in other media is common place here on wikipedia (just look at the article on Beavis and butthead, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, My Little Pony, or just about anything popular or well-known). So Marcus belief that the article on The Powerpuff Girls should NOT have one of those lists have no basis at all. However, no article can truely be a good article if it has to many lists, so i propose we delete the list that mention times the the PPG show has made references to other cultural phenonomen. The "overview" section at the begining of the article alreday thats that the show "bases much of its humor on pop culture parody" (or something like that), and i dont think its necassery to mention every single parody the show has made. Other shows which frequently makes parodys does not have such a list (Simpsons, South Park, Rugrats ect). So im gonna go ahead and delete the "cultural references" section and instead put back the "Powerpuff Girls in Pop Culture" section. That ok with the rest of you? Rattis1 09:58, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Wait, i just found out that there had been talks about deleting the "cultural references section" before, but people woted aginst it. Oh well, i guess i will llet it stay then. But i will still but back the "in Pop Culture" section. Rattis1 10:02, 11 July 2007 (UTC)
Why doesn't that powerful demon have his own page? After all he had huge number of appearance. TheBlazikenMaster 17:36, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
Well, there was. But it is gone. I'm sure it will be back one day. Night Leon 06:52, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
Split Characters into Completely Seperate Article
The main one is getting very crowded, perhaps moving every character description into a seperate article, perhaps merging Minor characters of the Powerpuff Girls with it. At the moment it's a bit messy, with descriptions all over the place. Hurball 09:48, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
That's not the only one though. Possibly I'm not the only one who needs the Cultural, Media and other References. I'm suggesting that someone and I mean anyone except and I mean EXCEPT MARCUS do put the Powerpuff Girls Cultural and many other References having their own pages like a link the way that the Main Powerpuff Girls Characters do. Holla! Night Leon 06:35, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
Adding the Japanese Voice Cast, Plus Information on Japanese Dub.
While PowerPuff Girls is an american cartoon and creation, there is the fact it ended up spinning off into a japanese animation series. Because of this, I was wondering if anyone would object for me to add information about the Japanese dub of the PowerPuff Girls here on this English Wikipedia entry, including the voice actors? Is there any objection to this? Mendinso 19:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
- If you're talking about the anime series (PPG Z), that's got it's own page (see the navbar at the bottom of the page), and that shouldn't be added. However, if you're talking about the Japanese VAs used for original PPG show (which I'm not aware that it was aired and dubbed in Japan), then that's reasonable information to add. --Masem 19:43, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Revival
Just yesterday I saw one of the promos for Fried Dynamite. It was the one where a bunch of pictures flash in front of the screen in the beginning before the guy holding his breath. In one of the quick flashes I saw a picture of mojo jojo. If you see this commercial, try to find him, he is in the top right corner of the screen. Its very quick but definetly noticeable. Ive been trying to find it on the web but nothing. Anyway, why would they have mojo jojo in Fried Dynamite if the show was cancelled long ago. Something to think about?? 24.186.101.182 18:37, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
Friend Dynamite? I'll try watching it. I'm not letting out my ------------ of -------- I'll do so. Then if it really has Mojo Jojo, it would go to the "References in the Other Media" in my view. Night Leon 03:48, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey! It's true! I found such thing. I did see a Mojo Jojo Poster or something like a Poster like that. That kid did not mention about the Powerpuff Girls but about other shows like Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends or Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and even Camp Lazlo. Holla "User: Number"! You're good! Night Leon 03:55, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
It's definetly there, but seeing as there has been no announcement for new ppf episodes, or for reruns to come on once more, the question is WHY would it be on the block?? Craig McCracken is still working on Foster's, but then again you can consider that ppf doesnt air on boomerang yet, meaning there's a chance that foster's will soon be cancelled and ppf will start airing once more, ppf will have reruns, or that a new team will work on ppf while mccracken continues to work on foster's. Man thats a handful. 71.191.35.179 15:29, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Not all countries have the Best American Cartoon ever officially cancelled you know. I don't want to state which one. And FHFIF will never be cancelled just yet like the Powerpuff Girls in my view. I respect Craig McCracken because he is the True owner of the Powerpuff Girls and the new series called Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends. If that Fried Dynamite promotion is around 2006 to 2007, it doesn't mean that the poster of Mojo Jojo or anything to do with the Powerpuff Girls can't still be there just because the show was officially cancelled in some countries. Why must they cancel it? It could be because we didn't give enough ratings and a lot of adults complained about the PPG: Movie and also, we didn't buy a lot of the products currently. I convinced my friends to buy the products if they care about Powerpuff and they did. The Powerpuff Girls are now still having their own episodes and in Chunky Toons in other countries. I am looking forward to Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls which resemble the Powerpuff Girls as well. And more importantly, the Powerpuff Girls will have something soon which I don't want to state what until I can get my hands on it as soon as it gets to my country. Well, if it ever gets to my country. Nevertheless, I'm one of the Great Powerpuff Girls Fan no matter what. Non-free images
You need to remove the images from the character list, this usage is considered decorative and fails the fair-use criteria. Guy (Help!) 14:58, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
For those in the back...
Copied from the ongoing (but very minimally commented on) peer review for this article:
Review by Midnightdreary I don't think this article is ready for GA just yet, though I don't know what the standards are from the WP:Cartoon Network. Here's my two cents...
- The intro can be expanded on. As per WP:LEAD, it should serve as a stand-alone mini-article.
- Overview: I would suggest putting the Setting section as a subsection of this, as well as the info on the opening/closing sequences. The line "The show is one in a long line of cartoons that derives a great deal of humor from pop culture parody and satire" is original research. The line "It has a highly stylized, minimalistic visual look, reminiscent of 1950s and 1960s pop art" should have a cited source for a similar reason.
- History: This is the article's strongest section, simply because it has so many sources. Keep looking for more and see if you can expand (see my last note, too).
- Characters: I'd consider having a separate article for the main characters and only putting very brief information here. There's already a "Minor characters of the Powerpuff Girls" article, which may suggest room for a "Major characters" article. Editors may notice if this section is removed, there's not much left in the article (see my last note! :).
- Episodes: I'd consider taking off the bullet-style and just sticking with a single paragraph of prose here. Think about it, anyway.
- I'm not an expert on TV articles here on Wikipedia, but I think right away that the whole article is sorely in need of more out-of-universe discussion. I think, say, production of the series and critical response should be a pretty weighty part of the article. For this one in particular, I'm sure you'll find information on its popularity, merchandising, etc. You have some information under "History" which could be expanded on. Make sure you've taken a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Television/How to write about television programs and consider the article on Sesame Street (a featured article) as a sort of guide. Notice how many sources that article has (I'm guessing, though, that Sesame Street has a few more readily available sources; you might have to put some extra work in). Throughout this article, avoid single-sentence paragraphs. My suggestion is that all paragraphs should have at least three sentences; that's just good prose. Well, anyway, I hope I was helpful. Best of luck to any dedicated editors on this article! --Midnightdreary 19:04, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
Well? Stop the in-fighting and improve the damn thing! --treelo talk 13:18, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
The article
I'm glad to see that our argument has been somewhat settled and stored into a debate archive here. There are a few flaws made to the article here and there, but otherwise, I think this article is good the way it is. If there aren't any inappropriate edits here other than vandalism (there will always be vandalism, as far as I'm concerned), I think the article is pretty much fine, unless there is some good proof that new things related to "The Powerpuff Girls" are happening.
