Audience Figures[edit]

It has been claimed in this article that:

"The station has lost roughly 30% of its listeners since the CN Group rebranded the station.

(RAJAR Qs 1-3 2006 - detailed information can be found at www.rajar.co.uk)"

I've looked on Rajar, and have gleaned the following:

  • Q4 05: Kix 96 - 60,000 listeners (reach)
  • Q1 06: Touch FM Coventry - 49,000 listeners (reach)

Q2 & Q3 results cannot be compared as the Coventry output has been lumped in with that of Banbury and the Warwickshire stations.

So the best that can be said is that the station lost 18% of its listeners between Dec 05 and Mar 06. Very little can be said about results since, which of course might include a rise in listening. Chillysnow 23:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Station Name[edit]

Wasn't this radio station named Radio Harmony from it's 1990 launch until circa 1995 and then operating on the 102.6 FM frequency ? Curran1980 17:50, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You're absolutely right, a quick peek in my Radio Authority book from 1994 confirms this. I've added the info to the main page. Chillysnow 18:24, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Mix 96[edit]

At the same time as this station was called Kix 96, there was (and still is) a Mix 96 fifty miles or so south in Aylesbury. I would be surprised if this was a coincidence. What was the relationship between the two stations? Beorhtwulf (talk) 19:42, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
