I'll do this one at the weekend. Cheers. CPA-5 (talk) 14:58, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • US v. U.S.
  • Anti-aircraft guns were mounted around the perimeter of the deck Replace "Anti-aircraft" with "AA".
  • Casablanca-class escort carriers were designed to carry 27 aircraft --> "The Casablancas were designed to carry 27 aircraft"
  • I'm not really a fan of such a wording. I don't think that there's that much repetition of the phrase anyways.
  • during the Mariana and Palau Islands campaign Link of the campaign?
  • Linked in the lead, not sure if it needs to be linked again in the body.
  • One "however" is good enough for a short article like this one.
  • to the United States Navy and commissioned on 2 March 1944 Remove "1944".
  • before returning to Alameda, California Merge both links.
  • she underwent a second ferry mission What did she ferry.
  • where plans were drawn for the landings on Leyte Merge both links.
  • As the Japanese Fleet closed in for a decisive Pipe Japanese to the Empire of Japan.
  • From 14 December to 21 December --> "From 14 December to the 21st"
  • On 10 January, she came under attack from 2 Japanese bombers --> "The next day, she came under attack from two Japanese bombers"
  • her aircraft claimed 11 Japanese planes --> "her aircraft claimed eleven Japanese planes"
  • On 1 February, she was discharged from the Magic Carpet fleet, and departed San Francisco for Boston Naval Shipyard, on the Eastern seaboard. She arrived on 23 February for inactivation, and she was subsequently decommissioned on 19 June 1946 Add 1946 after February and remove the second 1946.
  • the ship was transferred to the United States Navy Remove the double space here.
  • during which a FM-2 fighter crashed into the sea --> "during which an FM-2 fighter crashed into the sea"
  • When pronounced, it sounds relatively correct both ways. When written, 'F' is a consonant, so I'm going with that.
  • she was taken onto drydock for repairs --> "she was taken into drydock for repairs"

I'll do the rest later on. Cheers. CPA-5 (talk) 15:47, 11 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@CPA-5: I've responded to your points. Stikkyy t/c 04:24, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Images

  • Looks good to me.

Infobox

  • Awarded what and there is no date in the body?
  • Awarded is a term for contracts, naval or not. I've clarified a bit in the body.
  • cite isn't necessary for the infobox normally it should be included in the body.
  • The sold and struck date don't match with the body's one.

Sources

  • All online sources need a "|website=" in their section.
  • Mirrored in the publisher.
  • Ref 10 - which page number because it looks like it has 11 pages numbers?
  • Y'Blood's source is a little bit tricky here. First, we have to change the year because WorldCat claims it was made in 1987. Second, it is William T Y'Blood not William Y'Blood.
  • I have the 2014 edition.

@Stikkyy: The rest is good to go. Cheers. CPA-5 (talk) 20:40, 6 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
