Occupy Seattle[edit]

The section about Occupy Seattle does not warrant a place on this page. It reads like a promotional piece for the movement and only lasted for 1.5 hours. — Preceding unsigned comment added by [[User:|User:]] ([[User talk:#top|talk]] • contribs) 73.42.206.113 (UTC)

Does the "Occupy Seattle" section really belong here? One political demonstration in a city that sees dozens every year. I personally have been on that bridge as part of one or another organized or impromptu demonstration at least half a dozen times. I'm not at all sure what is supposed to be significant about that one. - Jmabel | Talk 21:50, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

What's your goal here? Is it to argue we should replace with a claim saying something like "this bridge is commonly used by protestors"; that is, the 2011 protest doesn't stand out? Or is it to remove the section altogether, claiming this event and others like it aren't notable? CapnZapp (talk) 10:23, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Remove altogether. If we mentioned every political demonstration in Seattle that shut down a road for a few hours we could fill a small book. - Jmabel | Talk 18:35, 3 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
