The historic Van Muyden's Haven?[edit]

I'm not so sure the bay labelled as Van Muydenbukta is the true Van Muyden's Haven. The Norwegian Polar Institute's Place Names of Svalbard (which for some reason has kept the numerous blunders made by modern map-makers) says Van Muydenbukta is a large, open bay on the north side of Bellsund, while Conway (1906) says it is a cove just outside Akseløya, which is at the mouth of Van Mijenfjorden (another blunder). Maybe if I can find info on archeological remains of the Hull whaling station I may be able to sort this out. I wouldn't be surprised if the name has been misplaced on today's maps.
