Origin of the Name[edit]

The current wiki article states that the name sin comes form a moon deity. I have not found any mention of this in my sources. The name sin comes from Tsin in Hebrew, which is the name for this desert region. Sin carries no connotation of immoral acts. I am going to go ahead and change this. - 10/11/20
