This article has been submitted to Wikipedia to acknowledge the continuing efforts by Yuji Yoshimura and his protegé William N. Valavanis in bringing traditional Japanese bonsai techniques and art to the West and entire world. Yoshimura's contributions are long-established. Valavanis has for over 30 years further developed the spread of these in print and in person.
