It would be helpful to actually explain the Wirtinger presentation here; it only takes a paragraph or so. (unattributed comment)

Hmm, currently the Wirthinger presentation page is inaccurate. A Wirthinger presentation as used in mathematics is a finite presentation of a very particular form. Knot groups have Wirthinger presentations, but not all presentations of knot groups are Wirthinger presentations. I'll edit the article to reflect current usage.
