Someone, with apparent little knowledge of the film/TV industry -- and perhaps an inability to count-- has incorrectly stated that this is a “'minor screewrite [sic], author of only a few episodes of a few series. This writer, Worley Thorne, has written or re-written over a hundred television hours, has been script consultant for TV movies, TV series and TV pilots, and has written a half-dozen feature film screenplays which have been placed under option by seasoned film producers. Included in the above number, Thorne has written, under his own name, 25 produced hourlong TV screenplays for 17 series, plus a half-dozen others unproduced due to series' cancellations. No one can fairly and honestly say that 25 TV screenplays are a "few," or that 17 TV series are a “few.” The thousands of writers who come to Hollywood every year, scrambling and hoping for just one writing sale would be startled to hear that. Furthermore, Worley Thorne has re-written or edited ALL of the scripts on three TV series, as Executive Script Consultant, bringing his uncredited writing to well over one hundred TV screenplays. The Executive Script Consultant (now usually titled Supervising Producer) supervises and guides other professional writers in developing their scripts. With tens of millions of dollars at stake, studios do not hire "minor" writers to perform these jobs. If Wikipedia is to be an encyclopedia and not a list of the Top Ten, I believe this article ought to be part of it. I do not know how to stop the deletion process; the instructions weren’t clear to me. I hope that someone who knows how to stop deletion will read this, and take action.
