JPOV doubt[edit]

I note with interest that the user page for Historiographer includes the following

Perhaps it will be constructive to address this perceived issue directly. If so, this thread provides a constructive opportunity.

One way to avoid any potential claims of bias is to cite sources explicitly, as has been done here. I would hope this posting will be construed as a constructive step towards averting any suspected POV or JPOV. --Tenmei (talk) 15:43, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yang Yu (diplomat)Yang Su (diplomat) – I think his name is supposed to be 梁需 = 양수 = Yang Su? per [1]. The French references seem to call him "Yan Yu". Tried all 3 versions in GBooks: "Yang Su" and "Yang Yu" received 1 (relevant) hit each, no hits for "Yan Yu". Edit: I think I know where "Yang Yu" comes from: Japanese sources such as [2] called him 梁儒 = Yang Yu in Korean. I believe we should use the name found in Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty in this case, which is Yang Su. Timmyshin (talk) 00:46, 26 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
