the hottest temperature ever recorded in canada was 45 degrees Celsius (113 F) according to environment canada website below

http://www.climate.weatheroffice.ec.gc.ca/climate_normals/results_e.html?Province=ALL&StationName=Midale&SearchType=BeginsWith&LocateBy=Province&Proximity=25&ProximityFrom=City&StationNumber=&IDType=MSC&CityName=&ParkName=&LatitudeDegrees=&LatitudeMinutes=&LongitudeDegrees=&LongitudeMinutes=&NormalsClass=A&SelNormals=&StnId=2964&&autofwd=1

this was recorded by my grandfather, Samuel Molberg at Midale Sask on July 5, 1937. I believe that the same temperature was recorded by someone on that same day at Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan, but I don't know who.

The Yellowgrass article mentions 114 F but I think this is in error.

Len Molberg, Calgary.
