Inspiration for the plot[edit]

The plot of Zameen movie is based upon the rescue mission taken by the Israel Defense Force in 1976 at Entebbe, Uganda, where the IDF rescued 102 hostages taken by the PLO and the German group Revolutionary Cells.

I posit that the above statement is dubious as the plot of the movie (at least the initial half) has greater resemblance the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight 814. The second half could be construed as a manifestation of then popular opinion that the Indian Government should have executed covert operations to rescue the hostages. The chronological proximity of the incident with the film's release date also contributes to my opinion.

Also, if this correction is effected, we will also need to correct Operation Entebbe#Films inspired by Operation Entebbe.
