BRAAAM

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM

Not sure about the rules for captions, but I hear audio clips don't get a lot of engagement in DYK, so why not make it more clickworthy. Created by Rhododendrites (talk). Self-nominated at 03:59, 25 March 2023 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/BRAAAM; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation

Image eligibility:

QPQ: Done.

Overall: @Rhododendrites: Both hooks look like they'll do well, although a few changes need to be made to ALT1 to make it read better. (alternative below) I think the caption is perfectly descriptive of the sound effect. Article does seem to lean a bit heavy on the quotes. Awaiting QPQ. :3 F4U (they/it) 14:07, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

  • ALT1a ... that there is a name – BRAAAM – for the loud – *BRAAAM – low horn sound – BRAAAM – made popular by action film trailers?
    • @Freedom4U: Thanks. No objections to ALT1a, although it may call for more wikilinks at the end. I made some follow-up edits to the article (see edit summaries if interested), and will get to the QPQ later today (and hopefully that other pending review :) ). — Rhododendrites talk \\ 15:44, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
      • @Rhododendrites: I feel like both "action movie film" and "horn" are simple everyday words that don't need to be linked. Changes to the article look good. :3 F4U (they/it) 22:53, 25 March 2023 (UTC)
        • @Freedom4U: QPQ done. Going to disagree about action films being a simple concept of the sort that doesn't need to be linked, but I don't mind deferring to whomever preps the hook, either. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 17:11, 26 March 2023 (UTC)
