This infobox is intended for use on articles pertaining to contactless and/or cashless payment methods, including cards and smartphone integrated financial apps. It may also be used to write an article on transit-oriented smartcards.

Parameters

Parameter	Code	Required	Definition
Name	name	Required	Name of the system, typically in mixed case, only use all caps if name is an acronym, and long name is displayed with acronym. This parameter should be in line with the article title, minus any parentheses.
Logo	logo	Optional	Logo for the payment system
Alt	alt	Optional	An image of a payment interface, This could be a card screenshot of an app a validator a fare machine/ATM
Caption	caption	Optional	Caption for alt image
Native name	native_name	Optional	Name of card in native language, If native name is using a different alphabet (i.e. Cyrillic), also include the romanised name in parentheses
Long name	longname	Optional	The meaning of the acronym
Short name	shortname	Optional	If the long name is being used for the title of the article, this is the acronym for the system
Other names	othername_1 othername_2 othername_3	Optional	Other names (including nicknames) this system is known by, including multilingual translations, if any are known. For other languages, place language in parentheses.
Location	location	Required	The geographical region in which the payment system is located in, often a metropolitan area. Do not include the country, unless the payment method is accepted nationwide.
Launched	launched	Required	Year the system was launched. If exact date is known, use the {{Start date}} template. Use {{Start date and age}} if currently operating and/or a future system when an exact date is set.
Discontinued	discontinued	Optional	Year the system was discontinued. If exact date is known, use the {{End date and age}} template. Omit if currently operating.
Predecessor	predecessor	Optional	The preceding payment system, if related to transit fare collection. Omit if the system is first generation.
Successor	successor	Optional	The succeeding system, when known, omit if currently operating
Technology	technology_1 technology_2 technology_3	Optional	Technology used in the system, as follows: Technology 1 should be the semiconductor used in the cards Technology 2 should be the interface software the app is written in (i.e. TouchPass, Umo, etc.) Technology 3 should be the nature of the system
Generation	generation	Optional	The generation of system (i.e. First, Second, Third)
Operator	operator	Optional	The corporation responsible for operating the system, often, the manufacturer of the payment system's critical components (i.e. fareboxes, validators, etc)
Manager	manager	Required	The entity with supreme oversight over the system, typically, a metropolitan planning agency, a public transport executive, or the lead transit agency using the card system.
Currency	currency	Optional	the currency accepted, use the abbreviation when possible.
Stored-Value	stored_value	Optional	Minimum and Maximum cash balance card can hold, type 'None' if stored value is not possible
Credit Expiry	credit_expiry	Optional	Time Period before the card/account expires
Auto Recharge	automatic_recharge	Optional	Type Yes or No depending on if auto-reload is possible
Unlimited Use	unlimited_use	Optional	A variant of product enabled with the payment system, typically within paper tickets of other systems. If this feature was previously used, but no longer active, include years in parentheses.
Validity	service_1 up to service 12	Optional	For transit cards, all services and/or systems that accept this card, in alphabetical order. If more than 12 services accept the payment, you may opt to link this to the a section of the article, listing the operators accepting the payment.
Retailed	sales_location_1 to sales_location_5	Optional	Where the card is retailed at.
Variants	variant_1 through variant_6	Optional	Variants of the payment card, typically based on demographic group.
Website	homepage	optional	Official website for the payment card system. To hyperlink, use the {{URL}} template.
