Language needs to be tweaked[edit]

I think the language needs to be tweaked a bit. While things are somewhat more relaxed in userspace, blatant enough spam can still be speedy deleted. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:53, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well yes, but it's rare, because we seem to generally AGF that even fairly blatant spam may be revised into something better. As long as it's noindexed (as pages with this template are), there's little harm. Anyway, I do take your point that we may want to say that things in userspace are still subject to policy, it's just that clarifying that may confuse people about the general point being made, and make the whole thing lengthier; and there's no single link that's really ideal to use either. A good, simple introductory page about the issue might be the way to go, summarising and linking to relevant policy: this new page can then be briefly mentioned and linked to from here (and elsewhere, I'm sure). Pointing newbies to detailed sections of lengthy policies is one of the bitier things we do as a matter of course without thought to the consequence. Rd232 ^talk 02:31, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Userspace draft suggestion → Template:Draft suggestion – It looks like this template hasn't been updated to reflect the creation of WP:Draftspace. I suggest dropping the "Userspace" part of this template's name and just call it Template:Draft suggestion.
