The Door is the debut EP by British rock band Turin Brakes. Initially a limited vinyl-only release from Anvil Records in 1999, it eventually led to the band being signed to a contract with Source Records.

The EP was first released as a vinyl EP and as a CD in 1999 with the following tracklisting:

  1. "The Door"
  2. "By TV Light"
  3. "Nowhere"
  4. "The Road"

These tracks are unique to these release and were all later re-recorded for the Source label.

The song was later released by Source in 2001 on two singles. The first single contained the following tracklisting:

  1. The Door
  2. The Boss

The second single featured the following tracklisting:

  1. The Door
  2. Reach Out [Midfield General Remix]
  3. The Boss [Studio Out Take]

'The Door' was taken from the album 'The Optimist LP'.
