Outside of The Engine House, 6 March 2009

The Engine House is an visitor centre near Highley station on the Severn Valley Railway, in Shropshire, England. Opened in March 2008, it houses some of the railway's out of service locomotives, wagons and coaches for visitors to explore. In addition to the equipment listed below, exhibits include railway artefacts detailing the history of Britain's railways. The Engine House allows visitors to get up close to marvellous steam engines, including getting aboard the footplate of 7819 Hinton Manor. Amenities include a restaurant, gift shop and picnic area.[1]

No. 686 The Lady Armaghdale Manchester Ship Canal Hunslet 0-6-0T 1898 Arrived following cosmetic restoration in October 2010.
No. 4566 GWR 45xx Class 2-6-2T 1924 Boiler ticket expired in Jan 2017. Moved to the Engine House in June 2018.
No. 5764 GWR 57xx Class 0-6-0PT 1929 Last worked in 2011. Moved to the Engine House in June 2018. Repainted in London Transport livery as L95 in 2019.
No. 7819 "Hinton Manor" GWR 78xx "Manor" Class 4-6-0 1933 Last worked in 1995. Moved into the Engine House in March 2019.
No. 46443 LMS Ivatt Class 2 2-6-0 1950 Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet. Withdrawn from traffic Oct 2011 due to severe corrosion of the steam pipe seating face on the superheater header which was causing leakage. Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet.
No. 47383 LMS Fowler Class 3F 0-6-0T 1926 Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet.
No. 48773 LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 1940 Dedicated national war memorial to all British railway transport troops who died on active service in the Second World War.[2] at the museum during Summer 2008. Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet. Moved to Kidderminster in June 2018 for 50th anniversary end of steam celebrations, now in store.
No. 80079 BR Standard 4MT 2-6-4T 1954 Returned from Shildon Locomotion Museum in 2007. Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet.

GWR 4900 Class 4-6-0 1929 Returned from Swindon Designer Outlet in 2007. Removed in September 2013 for overhaul, return to traffic expected for 2019.
No. 7325 GWR 4300 Class 2-6-0 1932 Returned from Swindon Steam Railway Museum in 2007. Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet.
No. 45110 LMS Stanier Class 5MT 4-6-0 1935 Returned from Barrow Hill Engine Shed in October 2013 to replace Hagley Hall. Part of the Ex Severn Valley Railway Home Fleet. Hauled the Fifteen Guinea Special from Liverpool to Manchester and back on 11 August 1968.
No. 2 Prince George England and Co. 0-4-0ST+T 1863 On loan from the Ffestiniog Railway. Arrived following withdrawal from service in 2010; left in summer 2012 for overhaul and returned to service in May 2013.
No. 3 Sir Haydn Falcon Works 0-4-2ST 1878 On loan from the Talyllyn Railway. Arrived in October 2013 and left in February 2015 for overhaul to begin.
