The Lesbian & Gay Foundation (LGF) is a charity based in Manchester. It was formed with the merger of Healthy Gay Manchester and Manchester Lesbian and Gay Switchboard Services in April 2000.

The LGF is based at Number 5, Richmond Street, Manchester, M1 3HF. It runs social and support groups, does outreach work in sexual health and operates a confidential helpline.

The LGF provide a range of services to the lesbian, gay and bisexual community of Manchester. It says: We believe in a fair and equal society where all lesbian, gay and bisexual people can achieve their full potential.

The Lesbian and Gay Foundation provides more direct services and resources to more lesbian, gay and bisexual people than any other charity of its kind in the UK through services, advocacy, information and research. The LGF deliver accessible community, health and support services such as face to face counselling, clinical services, a helpline and a range of support groups. LGF is supporting the integration of gay immigrants, e.g. from Romania, Poland living in Greater Manchester. LGF supports i.a. former Polish gay activist Waldemar Zboralski.[1]

The LGF aim to provide high quality and accurate information and advice, including a range of leaflets and booklets, and regular updates via their online news pages and email newsletters. The LGF also houses a library and archive collection of LGBT literature and press, they regularly conduct research and surveys amongst the LGBT population. Until 2014 they a published a bimonthly magazine - Out North West - distributed to venues across the North West of England.

The LGF helps to influence public policy and opinion on LGBT issues by liaising with leaders in education, religion and politics, and by involvement in events such as the LGBT Health Summit. Their initiatives include campaigns to end homophobia in schools and strengthening the LGBT community by establishing business and strategic partnerships.

LGF participate in others LGTB-group's campaigns in UK, related to international issues as well.[2] LGF is co-operating with Manchester Pride for organisation of yearly event and provide medial partnership to Manchester Pride with own magazin Out North West.[3]
