Trivandrum

UST Global has started its expansion plans in Trivandrum with the construction of an own campus, near Technopark. The proposed campus is spread over 36 acres (150,000 m2). The campus will also feature a 12-acre (49,000 m2) waterbody channeling through the various blocks of the campus. The first phase of the campus is expected to be complete by end of 2011.[13]

Cisco will use its Smart+Connected Real Estate Solution to wire up the campus.[14] This will converge building, safety, and communications networks onto the open Internet Protocol (IP) standard, streamlining processes by providing a single connection for building management and IT systems. The IP-based network will reduce capital expenditure by simplifying building design and construction, and also enable building managers to reduce carbon footprint and build a sustainable and more energy-efficient environment. This will help the campus achieve a higher rating on the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification.[15]

Kochi

UST Global has a new facility in Leela Infopark, Kochi, Kerala which was unveiled on Februaray 2011. Spread over an area of 34,000 sq ft, the office is styled to the themes of speed, passion and courage to celebrate the company's partnership with Britain-based Formula One (F1) team Marussia Virgin Racing[16]

[edit] Social Responsibility

UST Global's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives are geared towards making a meaningful difference to the communities in which they live and work. These initiatives are designed to encourage participation from associates and clients. Their emphasis is on health, education and environment and their primary target groups are women and children. [17] [18]

[edit] Controversy

In early 2008, California arbitrators ruled that US Technology Resources, LLC must pay Stephen J. Ross US $7.5 million for his founding interest in the company. The company had disputed the extent of Ross's actual contributions. The arbitration award was then confirmed by the Los Angeles Superior Court and judgment entered in Ross' favor.[19][20].
