AIESEC Aarhus experience

[edit]

For society

[edit]

AIESEC Aarhus is focused on leadership development offering young people the opportunity to be global citizens, develop personally and professionally via internships abroad and work in local entities, acquire important experience and skills and make their contribution to making this world a better place. It forms a platform for students interested in world issues and leadership to work with exchange of people and ideas as a means to achieve the organisation’s vision.

The core AIESEC Aarhus activity is the global exchange programme and the leadership training and development. AIESEC conferences are the forums for learning and networking that glue together their activities and organisation. Annually, the organisation gives thousands of young people an international exchange opportunity, placing bright students into traineeships lasting from 6 weeks up to 18 months in every sector – business, public or civil society.[6]

For members

[edit]

AIESEC vision involves peace and fulfilment of humankind’s potential.[7]

All members go through a formal introduction to the organization to connect them with the purpose, values, and impact of AIESEC. Members then take on responsibility in some functional area or activity in the organization. Next, members can choose to take a leadership role, go on an international internship, or both. The final step of the AIESEC Experience is to head for the future – the alumni take the skills, inspiration, and networks gained in AIESEC and use them in their lives and society beyond AIESEC.

Partners and sponsors

[edit]

AIESEC invites like-minded organisations and individuals to partnership and to contribute proactively to the development of young people on a personal and professional level. Currently five prominent national companies are partners with AIESEC Aarhus: Exact Software, Soliditet, Insights, FUHU , Vikar. One of the main sponsors is Microsoft in Denmark. [8]
