I am an Assistant Professor at the Fox School of Business at Temple University, where I study data-based innovation and organizing. In 2012, I founded an activity tracking app Moves with five other cofounders including Sampo Karjalainen. Apple chose Moves as the Best App of 2013 in the Fitness Revolution category, and the company was acquired by Facebook in April 2014.

My research has been published in top academic journals such as Management Science, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and Journal of Management Information Systems. I hold a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

I write about data and the production of academic knowledge in Medium.
