Streeme is an open source Media server that takes advantage of HTML5 web technologies. Written in PHP and the Symfony web framework, Streeme offers multi platform compatibility and has setup instructions for Windows, OSX and Linux. There are two main end user interfaces for Streeme: one optimized for mainstream desktop web browser usage and the other for most Webkit based mobile phones and tablets. As of January 2011, Streeme and its dependencies are installed manually or using a Debian VMWare image.
