User:DNSLOC

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi, my name is David, and I'm from Brisbane, Australia.

I have donated financially to Wikipedia as I truly believe in it's relevance and usefulness to our education. I encourage you to do the same.

I had recently searched Wikipedia for a term regularly used in my industry, but often the articles quoting that term did not define it. I made a request for the page to be created on Wikipedia, and then I reconsidered and put the effort into creating the page myself.

It has been rewarding to see that page become approved!

I encourage you all to ask yourself if you can contribute knowledge to Wikipedia.

I have been a Wikipedia member since 15:07, 30 March 2011, however it was some time before I had something useful to contribute (that didn't already exist!).

I've now made several small contributions Special:Contributions/DNSLOC.

Thanks for all feedback. I have pasted the template below as recommended by Yasht101.

Wikipedia Welcome[edit]

(superceded - have now succesfully contributed)[edit]

Welcome!

Hello, DNSLOC, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as IMAG, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! DNSLOC (talk) 01:32, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of IMAG[edit]

(superceded - article no longer nominated for speedy deletion)[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice that the page that you created was tagged as a test page and has been or soon may be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. DNSLOC (talk) 01:32, 7 March 2012 (UTC)
