Arma Shahidi Fitzgerald was crowned Mrs. International in 2009 at the 22nd Annual Mrs. International Pageant. Competing against 48 other women, Arma was crowned by her husband, Lee Fitzgerald.

Mrs. International is a competition that incorporates physical fitness, a strong emphasis on the interview and platform.

Arma Shahidi Fitzgerald's platform is oral cancer. She established The Fight Oral Cancer Foundation to raise funds to increase awareness, aid in early detection of Oral Cancer and fund research.
