PNM Abroad is a Liberal Conservative Political Organasation based in the United Kingdom. PNM Abroad is the official organization of the PNM Party for Trinidadian and Tobagonian nationals living permanently or temporarily overseas. The organization has been given [[Party-level and supporter level recognition and sends a representative to the PNM National Convention.

PNM Abroad has members in many countries across the globe. It's intention is to establish several country teams. Which would then be known as chapters in Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, and Oceania. Some Country Teams will be larger and more regionally localized than others, depending on the size of the country. New Generation represents a new and very innovative policy, that encourages young people from all around the world, to share their knowledge on how we can improve politics, what can be done to better serve and enhance and encourage a generational shift in our World Politics.

History[edit]

In Late July 2009, Pearce Robinson came up with the idea and concept of PNM Abroad. This idea came about after he attended as a Freelance Journalist with SpeakOutTnT, the Fifth Summit of The Americas set up by the Organization of American States, in the Capital City of Trinidad and Tobago, Port of Spain in July 17th to 19th 2009. According to Pearce Robinson, this Summit allowed him to see Politics in a brand new way, through the lens of the International Eye and bridge the gap of those who live abroad through a mechanism that allows them to be actively engaged in their politics at home in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2010 he piloted this concept to members of the former People's National Movment - (PNM) Executive, who would later give the all clear and thumbs up to proceed. In the May 24th 2010 General Election in Trinidad and Tobago. PNM Abroad played a pivotal role in keeping its members up to date by the minute and through emails, news clips and video logs.

In the Press[edit]

PNM Abroad has appeared in the national newspapers on several occasions, one of the most significant ones is when the President, Pearce Robinson wrote to William Hague, the British Foreign Minister about the alleged Human Rights abuses going on in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, under the Kamla Persad-Bissessar lead Peoples Partnership Coalition Government to which he received a reply from Hague.[1] The TnTMirror also recognized PNM Abroad for its political fortitude online and its aptness in communication and delivery.[2]

Activities[edit]

In addition to assisting Trinidadians and Tobagonians residing abroad to actively engage in their domestic politics, PNM Abroad engages in many other proactive and innovative activities, which are primarily based on a per country or per locality basis. Among many other things, PNM Abroad:
