Shore City Shopping Centre is a shopping mall in the North Shore of Auckland in New Zealand. It is situated at 52 Anzac Street, Takapuna. The shopping centre has a gross lease-able area of 13,990 m2[1][2]
Background[edit]
The shopping centre was initially owned jointly by Westfield Retail Trust and Westfield Group, each having 50% share in the mall. The shopping mall with a gross lettable area of 14,139m² and a sale value of $83.5 million was acquired by Aviva Investors Asia Pacific Property Fund in 2012. The deal was brokered by Colliers International. The proceeds from the sale were also used to repay existing debts.[3][4]
The property was put up for sale in 2015. Headed by Australian entrepreneur Shaun Bonett, Precision Group acquired the Shore City Shopping Centre in 2016[5]. The deal was brokered by Colliers International and Stonebridge Property Group. As of 2015, the property generated approximately $7.4 million in total net annual rental income.[6] [7]
