Micah Ballard[edit]

Micah Ballard is a poet born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1975. Since 1999 he has lived in San Francisco with his wife, poet Sunnylyn Thibodeaux. Together they have printed over 25 books by various poets and artists under the imprints Auguste Press and Lew Gallery Editions.

From 2000 to 2007, Ballard directed the Humanities Program at New College of California in San Francisco’s mission district. During his last years there, he started the Lew Gallery where he curated group and solo art exhibitions. Ballard currently works for the University of San Francisco where he co-directs the MFA in Writing Program.
