William John Livesley, M.D., Ph.D. is Professor Emeritus at University of British Columbia. Dr. Livesley's current research focus is personality disorders: its classification, assessment, etiology, and research towards treatment. He is the co-author of the Dimensional Assessment of Personality Pathology - Basic Questionnaire (DAPP-BQ).

Some of Livesley's past accomplishments include being named a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in July 2005. He was editor of the Journal of Personality Disorders from 1996-2009 and currently serves as editor emeritus. [1] He has served as advisor to the DSM-III-R and DSM-IV and is a member of the DSM-V Working Group on the classification of personality disorder.
