List of rowing lakes This article is a list of lakes from around the world which feature a 2 kilometre stretch over which regattas in the sport of rowing are held. Some of them are natural while others have been man made. Rowing lakes traditionally have a minimum of six racing lanes, with additional lanes for warming up on the way to the start as well as for safety launches. While the racing stretch is 2km long, there is additional space for boating and manouvering.
