Yohanes Widodo | a.k.a Masboi |

He was born in Desa L. Sidoharjo a small village in Tugumulyo, Musi Rawas, Sumatera Selatan, in July 15, 1974. He was a station manager at Radio Sonora in Palembang, Indonesia. He finished his master in Applied Communication Science in Wageningen University and Research Center The Netherlands. He is teaching Communication/Journalism at Department of Communication Science, Faculty of Social and Political Science, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University since 4 January 2010.

Biography

His nickname is Masboi. This name is used since he was student studying at University of Atma Jaya Yogyakarta in 1994.

He finished his elementary school and junior high school at SD and SMP Xaverius Tugumulyo and senior high school at St. Paul Seminary in Palembang/SMA Xaverius 1 Palembang. In 1993, he studied Communication Science at Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University. He was a chief of Student Senate of Faculty of Social and Political Science in 1995, and set up PASTI student newspaper in UAJY also in 1995.

He graduated from UAJY in 1999 and worked at Radio Sonora Palembang as Station Manager. In 2006, he has been accepted as a candidate of Stuned awardee by NESO Indonesia. He took English course at ELS Jakarta for five months provided by NESO.

He got scholarship from Wageningen University and to take master in MSc program in Applied Communication Science at Wageningen University and Research Center The Netherlands since August 20, 2007.

He was elected as Vice President of Indonesian Student Association in Wageningen or Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia di Wageningen in 2007 and Secretary General of Indonesian Student Association in the Netherlands (PPI Belanda) in 2008. He was also co-founder of Radio PPI Dunia.
