Population of Luke[edit]

Hello, I was hoping to clarify for you why your changes to Luke, Maryland continue to be reverted. Your edits have been to update the population to a larger number than the 2010 census citation showed, and it could well be the case that the town's population has increased since then. Wikipedia policy is to assume all edits are made in good faith, and we would want the information on the page to be correct if it is outdated.

The problem with the changes so far, however, is that Wikipedia requires that information be properly cited and attributed to a credible source (see Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information). Even if you personally, or someone else in the town is firmly confident that the higher figure is correct, it cannot be added to the page for Luke until it can be found in a reliable secondary source. I hope you see this message if and when you return from your account blockage. Please don't hesitate to message me on my talk page if you have any questions about citations, although the guide above should tell you what you need.
