November 2023[edit]
Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Right-wing terrorism, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Neo-Confederates. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 03:36, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Index of racism-related articles. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 05:05, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
- Materialscientist has given no explanation as to why he thinks the editing was "unconstructive", nor can I see any problem with it, so I have restored the editing. JBW (talk) 10:55, 28 November 2023 (UTC)
Excessive links in the "See also" section[edit]
You have been using multiple IPs to insert excessive links into the "See also" section of many articles. These links are excessive because they are too peripheral or irrelevant, or they are redundant to general topic navboxes already present in the page.
During the last four months, you have used the following IPs from Rochester, New York:
- Special:Contributions/50.48.214.219
- Special:Contributions/50.48.247.176
- Special:Contributions/50.48.241.158
- Special:Contributions/50.48.222.154
- Special:Contributions/50.48.250.19
- Special:Contributions/50.48.233.23
- Special:Contributions/50.48.255.222
- Special:Contributions/50.48.242.243
- Special:Contributions/50.48.201.99
- Special:Contributions/50.48.247.235
- Special:Contributions/50.48.255.132
- Special:Contributions/50.48.222.64
- Special:Contributions/50.48.246.108
- Special:Contributions/50.48.216.127
- Special:Contributions/50.48.247.52
- Special:Contributions/50.48.207.200
That last IP was blocked for 61 days by JBW starting in mid-August, yet you continued to edit in the same disruptive manner during this time, using other IPs. If you continue with this disruption, I will ask for a rangeblock on Special:Contributions/50.48.192.0/18, which would stop any of the above IPs. Binksternet (talk) 03:54, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

. Acroterion (talk) 02:20, 30 November 2023 (UTC)- If this is a shared IP address and you are an uninvolved editor with a registered account, you may continue to edit by logging in.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
