The changes were made because the original version was incorrect on a number of counts. In particular, the reference to George Bowen is inaccurate. He was not converted by someone singing a hymn by Williams Pantycelyn (that was Bowen's son) and the hymn was written as a request to Williams when he was staying at his home, Llwyn-gwair (which is still in existence) and not during some meetings that were held there. Whoever wrote that paragraph misread what was being said in the article in the Kirk volume! Also the hymn was not written initially in Welsh and translated into English. Quite the reverse! It was written in English and then translated into Welsh by John Williams (the author's son) un the 1790s. Therefore, if you want to maintain the accuracy of the Wikipedia entry, my revisions should be restored.
