A quarterly print publication "containing in-depth interviews and articles focusing on Designer Toys and Subculture art", which was founded in 2004 in United Kingdom and moved to NYC in 2009. From last three issues is also viewable online (#21: [5]). The article was in the print version. There's also a June 2007 newsitem by one of their staff writers Geoff Whitehouse, "Mr Clement rocking it again "[6], which reads: "Love this guy's work. He's also super nice and deserves to make it big for having the energy to handmake his own toys. Check out the interview with him in Clutter Issue 6 to see what I mean".
    • Source's About Us page: about
  • Publication: Computer Arts
    • Link: http://www.creativebloq.com/character-design/how-character-design-has-shaped-our-world-61411865
    • Details: issue 227, June 2014. Monthly (print) magazine established 1995 by Future Publishing, one of the largest UK magazine publishers, so solid editorial oversight. Its topic sphere is graphic design, illustrating, digital design etc. Lengthy feature article ("How character design has shaped our world"), with some critical commentary on mr c. One plus paragraphs devoted specifically to artist as part of a larger section discussing the concepts under which he's analyzed.
  • Publication: We Heart
    • Link: http://www.we-heart.com/2013/05/21/mr-clement-2/

  • Publication: WacowLA
    • Link: http://wacowla.com/blog/2012/08/30/mr-clement/
    • Details: A print Asian (Chinese) lifestyle & current affairs magazine in Los Angeles. It's possible to pick up a copy of the magazine in the greater Los Angeles area. I believe it is free. Demonstrates non-local interest. Seems to be a lengthy article with interview a part of it. Gtranslate doesn't do a great job of the translation. (Note: The author Ginger Chen also shared it on her blog GingerDrop.) Likely it appeared in the printed version; it arguably at the very least meets newsblog standard. (in Chinese)
  • Publication: N+1 Dimensional Illustration
    • Link: http://artpower.com.cn/content-968.html (example of pages: [7])
    • Details: Book. Artpower Publishing (2011), 320 pages hardback; chief editor, Iris Huang; designer, Olina Yang; ISBN 978-988-68578-0-9. Artpower publishes books related to architecture/interior/graphic design. They're based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. This is a coffee table book, probably costs a lot; regardless, it is independent coverage by legitimate (non vanity-press etc) publisher. Typical content (see example) seems to be two pages of illustrations and a further two to three paragraphs covering the artist & their works, style etc. mr c. notes that it covers him, here(in English)/(in Chinese)
  • Publication: Hi-Fructose
    • Link: [8] (convenience link)
    • Details: Volume 7, March 2008 (print), quarterly contemporary art/counterculture magazine. Lapin work cited/included in photo-essay by Brian McCarty in this issue. McCarty apparently noted figure in his field (e.g [9] / [10]). (Goes toward "being regarded as an important figure or [widely] cited by peers"  in one of the guidelines.) May be useful in building the article anyway.
  • Publication: A Nous
    • Link: scan/photo – [11] (convenience link)
    • Details: From what I can see from the pic this is Anous magazine. It's a print publication in France. Édito is French for editorial. The photo of the page is from the artist's "Loin des yeux, loin du coeur" Flickr album (he did an exhibition in France of the same name), the picture was taken 23 April 2010. (in French)
