Category:UK Wikipedians[edit]

GTA[edit]

I came to the realization that GTA & Manhunt were in continuity with each other the very same moment I learned it was Carcer City in Manhunt, not Sin City (I read the game box). I've also heard that Carcer was mentioned in the original GTA radio dialogue, too. --Zeromaru 5 July 2005 14:53 (UTC)

Lower league football teams[edit]

You're right, we do need to get the squads for lower league teams up to scratch... the only reason I hadn't done it was because I was really lazy. I was working on a neat system to work around them, but it never really came to anything. Any help you could provide would be much appreciated. Thank you very much. Bobo192|Edits

The easiest way is to go in to the page history and choose the last unvandalised version. Go into that, edit it, and save (with the edit summary that you're reverting the vandalism). I hope that that's clear. On this page, for example, you go to the history, click on the time.date og the version you want to go back to (for example my previous edit), and then edit it as though you were editing any page. re: Found some non-notable GTA articles.[edit]

I found two articles related to non-very-known business outlets in Grand Theft Auto III (see Bitchin' Dog Food and Easy Credit Autos). After looking at both pages, i only see the need to delete Easy Credit Autos as it has no relavance to the game. Bitchin' Dog Food, however, should stay as it features in about 5 missions. - Agent003

Leaving Wikipedia[edit]

I would encourage you to reconsider your departure from Wikipedia. A few things to consider:

In any sufficiently large group of people, there will always be some people with whom you will not work well. Understand this axiom, and adapt rather than getting perturbed by this reality.
It can be all too easy for some users to become frustrated when the changes/additions they make to Wikipedia are significantly changed or removed. Understand that you are contributing to a large body of work, and your voice is but one in a maelstrom. The beauty of Wikipedia is the ability for anyone to edit; if you are not ready to let your contributions go, you will be frustrated. You can influence how an article evolves, but you can not control it.
You are a newcomer to Wikipedia. It takes time to learn the ins and outs of this wonderful resource. What a new user thinks should happen in Wikipedia is often not what will happen. This can lead to frustration on the part of the new user.

Spelling on RFA[edit]

You asked what the spelling errors were in your answers to the questions on RFA. Primarily you forgot to capitalize 'i'. You also forgot the apostrophe in 'ive' (S/B I've). And upto is 2 words (up to, according to dictionary.com, I had to check).

And in your question about what the errors were you forgot to capitalize i, forgot the apostrophe in cant and forgot to capitalize because (i.e. Because I can't see them. Or was that recursive humor?)

You may want to cut-and-paste your edits into a text editor with real time spell checking (or batch spell checking) to look for errors that you are too close to see. I do it (but not often enough).

You seemed to be getting frustrated with the process (and your user page says you're leaving). I hope you'll check back at least enough to read this answer and to let me tell you not to let them get you down. (Yeah, I know, that's a big help). If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the image qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use.
