Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

Feel free to re-submit a new version of the article. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later."

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.

This message is in regards to your contributions to Anuban Muang Chiang Rai English Programme, Anuban Muang Chiang Rai School, and Amec school. Assuming good faith, I will identify the reasons that I have been contesting your contributions to these articles:

In my opinion, these articles meet the criteria for speedy deletion.

I've tagged the two remaining articels for deletion. Generally, the problem(s) with the articels are fairly easy to resolve. If you want to recreate them, keep in mind:
  • The biggest one was that the text in the articels were taken word-for-word from the official site, which is blatantly copyright infringement. Even if you do own the copyright, taking such text and adding it directly to an articel is disliked. If you want to rewrite them, you should do so in your own words and then cite the website as a source.
  • There should only be one articel that describes the institution, use the official name (Be careful that the capitalization is correct too!) and then create redirects to it from other, common, names.
  • When you write the articels, keep in mind WP:NPOV or "neutral point of view", that is, objectivity and impartiality. The information should not favor the school and if there is any published disapproval or opposition, it must be fairly explained and represented.
  • The last problem is "notability", IE. Why should an encyclopedia have information on them? We can't (And don't try to) cover every school in existence, so there has to be something factual about this one that makes it notable. Special commendation by the government? A well-respected private or civic organization awarding it something? Even controversies (Well cited) about it are sufficient.

If you want to try this without running the risk of it being deleted while your improving it, you can start it in a sub-page if your user-space (Such as here: /AMECRS). When you're finished, you can then move it to the correct name and create the redirects. Also, if you want me to explain this out in more detail, or something specific, my talk page has always been User talk :68.39.174.238 and I'll reply if you edit there. 68.39.174.238 22:44, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Do not post empty articles[edit]

A tag has been placed on Anuban Muang Chiang Rai English Programme, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 14:32, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Copyrights[edit]

The text you wrote here was almost exactly the same as that on the official website for the institution. Without an official assertion (EG. One posted on the website, or sent from the webmaster's Email address) we legally cannot use it as text for an articel. Also note that if the text is legally submitted, you will lose your copyright on it. Even so, such an exact copy of the text will continually cause trouble by looking like a copyright infringement.

All this said, it would be easier for everyone if you wrote up the institution in your own words. Again, you can do this in a user subpage so it doesn't get deleted by someone.

Thank you for uploading File:40862421 hegarty-203.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.
