Maurer Maurer[edit]

I've seen other people with less achievent have articles, however I think one obituary might be insufficient. Might be a good topic for discussion on the board Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Military history. Thank you for asking :) Bwmoll3 (talk) 02:55, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Buck Compton reply[edit]

You posted:

Area51,

About Buck Compton: You added that he was named an "All-American".

Was that in baseball or football? He played both.

Also, can you please use the "name=" command in references. For more information see:

Wikipedia:Citing sources Thanks.

My Reply:

Dear Worst of Misfortune (hey, you called me the wrong name so I'm returning the favor lol)

The info about Compton being an All-American selection came from the Associated Press article I cited. It did not specify which sport. My assumption would be baseball since he was also named all-conference in that sport, but I've no way to verify it right at hand and putting an assumption in the Wiki would be unwise. Have a great Wiki kind of day. Sector001 (talk) 02:19, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Lujack edit[edit]

Hello,

I cited the Indian Wells source, although the information about him living in California was not cited to begin with. I didn't see the reference that he golfs "as much as five times a week" but if you have a reference for a specific number then that can be added in. I know it's true but I don't know where you'd find a reference to that specific number, so I left it as "he spends his free time golfing" which my previous source also references.

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiki1259 (talkcontribs) 06:06, 6 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cryptic reference[edit]

You have some time ago inserted at Norman Rockwell a cryptic reference to ‘SSDI. - SS#: 177-01-3581.’ Could you clarify, please?

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
